FWell we’re now coming to the part of the summer season I love. The flowers are in full bloom and the vegetable plants have started to produce.
We had a tasty summer salad from the garden early this week:
And my Marketmore/Fanfair cucumbers are producing, hopefully I’ll have a better crop than last year.
A dosing with organic copper fungicide seems to be doing the trick.. The Armenian cucumbers are finally blooming so hopefully they won’t get fungus this year. They are more susceptible than some of the common varieties.
Our little Mosaic eggplant is coming along nicely.
This lovely plant was tagged as a Black Pearl cherry tomato but I don’t think so, it’s way too big.
Can’t wait til it ripens and we can eat it.
The basil is getting big so it’s probably time for a small batch of pesto.
And yes even the butterfly bush is growing butterflies!
